Chronicles of a retired TOMBOY || Weekend Casual

kuyetasham weekend diaries 1

I had to be out Saturday afternoon, I was meeting a client for the first time so I thought to dress to impress cause first impression they say matters. And so that I won’t spoil my market in the process of being nonchalant about my dressing as usual. But seeing as I rarely ever really dress up, It was stressful.

Friday night before I finally decided on this outfit, I had tried several others (girly ones) I felt sexy in them but I wasn’t comfortable. I was beginning to have a headache and so I gave up and slept.

Saturday morning which was when I needed the outfit I picked all that I had tried previously and stood in front of a full mirror. Trying them all whilst taking selfies. Then I decided to dump the skirts,  shorts and dresses. Picked up these pants which I just got and paired it with all the newly acquired casual tees I blogged about here till I arrived at this look.

Always make sure you’re extra comfy in your clothes cause you always need your self esteem at it’s peak

I haven’t been this dressed up in forever! Stepping out of the house my mum had to ask what the occasion was. But guess what? I enjoyed this outfit and I was so comfy in it. (except for the shoes part, my legs were killing me when I got home) but no pain no gain right?

Because I hate to wear fully covered shoes without socks.

The best part of this weekend was meeting Babara. (I really hope I spelt that right) Babara Ogunniyi is only 12 and she’s writing her first book titled “Discovering Babara” (no it’s not Barbara, it’s a Yoruba name)

She says it’s going to be a series because she believes she isn’t done discovering her self and so the book will progress in series as she finds her self daily. She plans to lunch the first edition on her 13th birthday next year. Wise thoughts from a 12 year old if you ask me. Who else thinks so??

Good news! Babara has agreed to write something for me because I couldn’t resist asking her, I can’t wait. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and see what Babara has for us.

I’d do an outfit review, but I honestly don’t remember where I got all my stuff and I won’t want to do half and half details so I’d rather not at all

But hey, tell me what you think about this look. Is it an improvement from my previous ones, or did I just over hype myself? Would you rock this? Yay or nay?

Did you rock something new for the weekend?  Was it comfy or did you just wear it cause “I must be fine”?

Have a great week ahead guys.

You look good hun, trust me. Love the hat and shoes most. I can’t wear fully covered shoes w/o socks too. So, I guess that makes two of us.

    And oh…nice write up too
