Sometime last summer, I took a break from blogging for nearly 2 months and almost shut down and I talked about it here, but I didn’t shut down obviously since you’re reading this right now.
I’ve come to expand the reasons I gave here for why I got back, and even some more.
WRITING IS MY THERAPY:
Because I don’t talk much and I bottle up a whole lot of feelings, I’ve turned to writing as my most comfortable form of self-expression. Writing works for me all the time! It works when I’m at my best/worst it has never failed. So a lot of times when I feel the need to, I write. I’m sure you’re thinking I don’t have to write on a public blog to feel better right? Well I do because, a problem shared they say is half solved so when I write it and I know someone is reading (DOESN’T MATTER HOW MANY PEOPLE) I automatically feel lighter.
MY READERS/SUBSCRIBERS ARE IMPORTANT:
If you ever decide to start something that’ll affect someone else, no matter how significant you may think it is, someone has grown attached to it and when you stop it, you break their hearts. Thank you to all my readers, and I’m sorry I almost broke your hearts but I’m here and writing and I will for as long as there’s the will.
It’s do able:
One of the reason for the break was because I got so busy at some point this summer that I thought “damn! I can’t cope with blogging, too” but I sat back and looked into blogs of people who had 9-5 jobs on the side or entrepreneurs and I saw that even those that their blogs were suffering, they still pulled through which meant it was do able so why should I BE LAZY? Then I decided, IF THEY’RE DONG IT, I CAN TOO!
I’ve always bragged about how good a multi tasker I am but I realized it’s easier said than done so I challenged myself to find time to be consistent on the blog while I go about all my other numerous hustles. If I pull through, then I officially crown my self QUEEN MULTI TASKER.
I have a strong accountability system, and the thought of them asking me why I haven’t posted and me rambling for excuses is what brings me back here. If you’re keen about getting something done, get a strong accountabilty system
